Right behind the main Vikasa Yoga Retreat tent, about 20 metres away, so you can get a week of unlimited yoga there for 1,500 Baht and enjoy a premium experience for a fraction of retreat prices. Hi Coral Cove Bungalows are an unexpected find among some very expensive resorts. There are five modest but roomy bungalows, each with a partial sea view and lovely gardens out front. The area is quiet, scenic, and has access to a beautiful private sandy beach. Rooms have free WiFi, air conditioning, and a small bar fridge. These aren't five-star rooms, but they're very good value. The owners are friendly and helpful. You can rent a scooter across the road, with Crystal/Silver Beach, Lamai, and Chaweng Beaches about five minutes away.

We'd booked a night the day before, but when we arrived they said there were no rooms because some guests had extended their stay. They had our phone number and email, so they could have warned us before we spent 400bat getting there. I politely asked the woman at reception if she could help, and she laughed rudely and then ignored us. A very unprofessional way to handle it.

The beach and coral reef are great for snorkeling, and the setting is really peaceful. Vikasa's week-long yoga course is 1500 baht and takes place in the white tent. I'd recommend booking it.
