Pavilion Samui Villas & Resort

We stayed in a huge two-storey Family Pool Villa right by the beach, with a private pool out front and a jacuzzi upstairs. The morning and evening views were so relaxing, and the whole place felt private, green, and cozy. I honestly didn’t want to leave. The room was very comfortable, the breakfast buffet had a great range of choices, and the staff looked after us so well. We stayed earlier this May, and I thought it was absolutely worth the money. Highly recommended!

The pools and beach were my favorite parts, and I felt at ease swimming because there was a security guard watching over our things. Pavilion was very clean, and the hardworking staff gave us great service. I’d recommend the resort. One staff member often looked unhappy when I saw him. On Thursday’s steak night, I noticed the rib eye had run out and asked if there was no more. He snapped, “Coming, wait!” in an angry tone. I went back to my table, and he avoided us for the rest of the time. The older gentleman Thandi helped instead, and he was amazing, attentive, and seemed to know what we needed before we did. He made the stay more memorable and deserves real credit. Thank you, Thandi, and thanks to the team for the service.

The pools and seaside were lovely for swimming and relaxing, and the restaurant served wonderful food with very nice staff. The hotel has everything in one place and direct access to beautiful Lamai beach. It definitely deserves five stars, and I’d recommend it to anyone staying in Koh Samui.

I wasn’t a guest at the hotel, since I was staying elsewhere in Lamai at a place without its own beach. The first day I came across this spot while walking along the road and asked about using the beach. They offered a sunbed and umbrella for 500 baht, taken as a deposit and usable as spending credit. I ordered 500 baht worth of food, paid 540 baht including tax, and left happy. The seafood pasta was especially good. When I returned two days later, they said the beach was full of hotel guests and they couldn’t offer the same arrangement. They asked me to give up the sunbed I was using. I wish this policy had been applied consistently, because I’d come relying on that deal and might not have found another umbrella and sunbed elsewhere. The staff member apologized several times, but I still had to get up and leave. I went to the much cheaper beach next door. Being asked to leave like that was unpleasant.
