Please stop using the syrups in the pool bar smoothies. They're sold for 90 baht, but there's very little fruit and a lot of ice and syrup. The syrups are left in the sun, and I believe that can cause a chemical reaction and a major health risk. I ask management to take guests' health seriously and address this.
Our stay is at Replay Pool Villa, just across the street from Replay Residence. The villas are modern, with a private pool and lounge area, and the sea view never gets old. Staff clean the room every day. We can also use Replay Residence's facilities, including the gym and pool. I booked through AirBnB for a better price than Booking, almost half price. Loving the life here.
Stay away from the pool here. The shallow water is filthy, and when it dries on your skin or clothes it smells like smelly feet. It's the dirtiest hotel pool I've ever seen anywhere, absolutely disgusting. With water this shallow, changing it and cleaning the pool regularly shouldn't be hard, yet it doesn't seem to get done properly. A pool this dirty is basically a foot bath and could cause all kinds of health problems. People get sick from this. In Europe, it would be shut down as a health hazard.
Our room was great, though that seems to depend a lot on the owner. Some parts of the residence need maintenance, but we had a good stay overall.
The staff were very good, and this place has a peaceful atmosphere. But I kept smelling people smoking whenever I went to swim, and people came out to smoke on their balconies every morning. The air-conditioned room and bed smelled musty and moldy. When we told the staff about the smell in the room, she arranged for someone to clean it. The mattress would be harder to clean, though.
