Royal Muang Samui Villas

We chose this part of Samui because we’d been to the island before and wanted to stay in the same general area. Breakfast was included and delicious, with a juice station, fresh egg station, and plenty of other choices. The rooms were huge, and the outdoor balcony was a nice feature. There were a few issues, though. The floors were so slippery I don’t know how I got through without falling. Mosquitoes came in through gaps around the doors and windows, and the spray they offered didn’t seem to help. The shower drain backed up on the first day, but they unclogged it when we told them and it didn’t happen again. The bathtub was great, but the water didn’t get very hot, and you couldn’t have a bath and then shower afterward. We also had to keep asking for water refills because housekeeping didn’t seem to replace it. Pool flip-flops were provided, but they’re very hard and slippery, so I wouldn’t recommend them if you want to avoid blisters. Watch out for the breakfast birds, they’re savage.

Catch at reception was friendly, calm, and extremely helpful, making us feel welcome from the first moment. The manager of the Mars Restaurant was also impressive, always attentive, well-organized, and present on the floor. You could see the care and passion put into the service and the team. Everything ran smoothly, the atmosphere was welcoming, and guests felt well looked after. It’s rare to find such capable leadership paired with genuine kindness. Thank you to the whole team for a wonderful, memorable stay. We’d gladly return and recommend the place.

The pool was a highlight, with clear water, a waterfall, and a stunning ocean view. Getting there from the rooms feels like a little jungle walk through lush greenery and peaceful nature. The rooms are warm and inviting, and the whole property is charming, beautifully designed, and feels like a quiet tropical sanctuary. Muang Samui Resort is a dream if you want comfort, nature, and time to unwind. Highly recommended.

We had a top-floor villa with a private pool, which was such a relaxing place to wind down at the end of the day. The beach area was spectacular, quiet, and had warm water. Our room was cleaned really well, and the staff were wonderful and friendly. The resort was absolutely perfect for us.
