Silver Beach Resort

The sand at Silver Beach – Koh Phangan, Thailand is soft and white, and the water is crystal clear. We even snorkelled straight from shore. It was a beautiful beach, clean, calm, and open to the public with free access. There are restrooms, showers, and a beachfront restaurant with plenty of seats and lounge chairs. A few cosy bungalows and rooms for rent sit just steps from the beach, making it a peaceful place to stay with a wonderful ocean view. Highly recommended for a relaxing, scenic visit and great photos! 📸🇹🇭

The view upstairs was lovely, and we had no complaints about the food. We ordered a pizza and a club sandwich. The staff who served us were really nice.

We’ve been here almost a week with the family, and this is already our second visit. We’ve had a great time both times and would come back again. Our premium room was excellent and right by the infinity pool. The grounds are well cared for, the grass is trimmed, and the beach is cleaned every day. Breakfast is good, and the staff have been super nice. Maybe some of the negative reviews come from tourists who expect too much. Treat people with respect and you’ll get it back. The pool is lovely, though the beach gets crowded during the day. There’s a great atmosphere around the bar and music. We also had no trouble bringing our baby in a stroller. The staff made us feel welcome, despite some reviews suggesting there are restrictions.

The only reason I’m giving this place two stars is its location. We came as a couple for lunch, and while the setting is beautiful, the experience was a major letdown. Cigarette and cannabis smoke hung around constantly, and the advertised “Happy Hour” turned out to cover only a very small selection of drinks once we sat down. The food and drinks were far below average. My watermelon shake was tiny, mostly water, with barely any fruit or flavor, and overpriced. When I asked for more fruit, the response was that it was simply how they make it. The Sea Bass tasted spoiled to me, almost like frozen fish cooked in its own thawing liquid, and the staff wouldn’t do anything about it. The Pad Thai was bland and poor too. It feels like they’re relying on the prime location while offering no real customer experience. I won’t return, and judging by the ratings, plenty of others seem to feel the same. I wouldn’t recommend it.
