Sound Hotel Samui

My visit to Sound Club on January 17, at about 00:45, was one of my worst club experiences in Koh Samui. I felt the entry checks were discriminatory: security said passports or IDs were required, but white customers got in without showing anything while non-white guests were stopped and questioned. It was uncomfortable and unfair. When I took a quick photo of the front gate to send my friend so they could collect me outside, security came over aggressively and demanded I delete it. That felt threatening and unprofessional. Inside, staff and servers seemed uninterested in helping, with no basic hospitality. The whole place felt rude and unwelcoming. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who expects respectful treatment.

The music kept the dancefloor packed till very late, and the purple lights and huge sound system made for an electric night. The DJ knew how to work the room. Drinks were good and fairly priced, with solid cocktails around 300 baht, and service stayed quick even when the club was rammed. I didn't try the food. Sound Club Samui is one of the best clubs on the Chaweng strip for a proper night out. Five stars, and I'm already thinking about going back.

Great staff, great sound system, and a fun vibe. If you like good music, I'd recommend checking it out. 11/10.

This open-air spot has different areas and used to be the place to go after midnight for years. I'm not sure it still gets as busy as it once did. Prices are reasonable, and they have table service. The crowd is a mix of locals and farang.
