Villa Siam Noi

The beach and massages are just a five-minute walk away, and lovely restaurants for a range of budgets are also within easy walking distance. There are a gym and tennis court on site. The owners pointed us toward some great days out, including an elephant sanctuary, snorkelling, and island sightseeing. We recently stayed at Siam Noi in Cheong Mon, part of the Horizon Villas Complex. The property was immaculate and clearly kept to a high standard, with lovely decor and all the amenities we needed. The pool was cleaned regularly, the gardens were well tended, and all three double bedrooms had en-suite bathrooms and opened onto the pool. We made good use of it, and enjoyed the outdoor dining area for relaxed evenings with a drink and a chat. Under the new ownership, communication was excellent. They answered our pre-arrival questions promptly and fully, and were always ready to help. We had a great holiday and hope to return.

The owner and on-site staff were very helpful, and the villa matched the photos. It has three double rooms, three and a half bathrooms, and a well-furnished living area and kitchen. All the rooms have air conditioning and most have fans, though the master bedroom didn't have a ceiling fan. The pool was a good size and well maintained, as was the garden. Unfortunately, we had a rodent problem during our stay. It was dealt with, but it spoiled part of the visit. The villa really needed a deep clean, as there were droppings inside cabinets and under the fridge. A shame, because otherwise it's a lovely place.

The villa is tucked into a quiet spot, so you can walk to the restaurants and bars without being right in the center of Cheong Mon. It's near the beach and the little town of CheongMon mon, in a superb location. Inside, everything was immaculate, light and airy, with big rooms and every amenity we needed. All the bedrooms are en suite, which worked well for our guests. The pool is large enough for a proper swim, unlike some places with only plunge pools. It's on a secure site with its own tennis court and gym. A true gem. We'll be back for sure!
