Weekender Bungalow

The bungalows are simple, but the location is amazing and the staff are really nice and helpful. There’s coffee, a washing machine, a clothesline, and a book area, so you have what you need for a stay. You can rent a bike cheaply, too.

The best part for me was the porch outside, with a table and two chairs. It’s a great place to spend the evening. Inside, it’s very basic: a double bed, a table with the fan on it, and a tiny “wardrobe” made of two pieces of wood where you can hang a towel. The bathroom has a toilet, shower, sink, and mirror. The sink was a bit high and small, and the mirror was high too, so I could only see my head and maybe my shoulders. The drainage wasn’t great and there was a smell once. You can rent a towel for 100 Baht and swap it for a fresh one whenever you like. There’s also a 24/7 water dispenser, which was handy because we didn’t need to buy water.

For a budget stay, this resort is okay, and the staff are very friendly. The bungalows are in a quiet spot near the beach. They’re also flimsy, though: the walls give way when you move, and the building isn’t sealed properly, so mosquitoes get in. The bathroom is okay, but the sink doesn’t drain properly and empties onto the floor. The water was brown once, though I don’t know whether that was a resort-wide issue or just our room. With such a low price, it’s hard to complain, but if money isn’t a concern, I’d stay elsewhere. Don’t come expecting luxury.

A great location and a must for anyone looking for quality accommodation.
