The view from the villa is beautiful, the pool is excellent, and the staff are very friendly. But calling it a luxury villa with a private chef doesn’t match what we experienced. The building feels old and worn, needs a serious deep clean, and has unstable internet, noisy old air conditioners and furniture that should be replaced. The chef we were sold turned out to be a kind local woman who could cut fruit, make scrambled eggs and prepare papaya salad, but that was about it. For a villa costing over $10k, the staff and management company didn’t seem to understand the level of hospitality we expected. We also weren’t allowed to check in early with our four children unless we paid an extra fee. Given what we’d paid, that was hard to understand, especially since the villa sat empty and we still couldn’t move in.

We liked the villa and its view, and the host and staff were friendly and helpful. We’d definitely book it again.

There was plenty of room for our family in this big villa, and the views were lovely.
