Cape Shark Pool Villas

We paid a very high price for a quiet, relaxing room, but found active construction directly above us when we arrived. It was clearly part of the hotel, yet the front desk denied responsibility and at first refused to move us. They promised to switch our room the next morning, then denied that promise, so we had to argue again. Eventually, we were moved to a much smaller, inferior room and told we’d get a refund for the price difference. The following day, the hotel refused the refund, saying they’d provided a complimentary breakfast instead. No one had told us it was meant to replace the refund, and the breakfast was inedible. After more discussions, we got back only about one-fifth of the room cost. We accepted because we were exhausted from having to argue again and again. Both rooms also had a very high number of mosquitoes. In our experience, the hotel didn’t take responsibility when serious problems came up, and we had to keep pushing for basic solutions. Communication was poor, promises were broken, and there was little customer care. If you still book here, I strongly recommend using a well-known booking platform that will protect you if the hotel management might not. I wouldn’t return or recommend staying here.

The villa was spacious and comfortable, with a lovely atmosphere, and it was beautiful, clean, and well maintained. It felt like good value for the price we paid. The staff were kind, helpful, and professional, always ready to assist with a warm smile. We had a wonderful, relaxing stay, would happily recommend it, and would love to come back.

The private access to Shark Bay made snorkeling amazing, and the in-room massage was one of the best we’ve had here in thailand. We stayed in P10 at Cape Shark Villas, and waking up to the ocean with a private infinity pool overlooking Shark Bay was a highlight of our trip. The views are unreal, and the whole place felt like a little slice of paradise. The villa was spacious, clean, well equipped, and peaceful, with a kitchen and stocked minibar. It felt very private. They also gave us takeaway recommendations, and all the food was really yum. The staff were incredibly friendly and quick to help. We got a local phone for calls since we didn’t have a local number, and the shuttle into town was really useful, especially if you’re not confident on a scooter. It’s remote and up a steep hill, so the location takes some getting used to. You can rent a scooter quite cheaply for more freedom, but I’d recommend getting a powerful one for the hills. Even on a powerful scooter, I had to get off and walk up some of them. If you want somewhere quiet, scenic, and a bit luxurious, I’d absolutely recommend Cape Shark Villas. We’d stay again!

The access road is quite difficult, but the villa offers transfers that make getting there and back much easier. Our accommodation was very clean, the view was beautiful, and the atmosphere was relaxing. Staff looked after us extremely well and gave outstanding service throughout. Everything about the villa was excellent, and we’d highly recommend staying here.
