Sairee Seaview Koh Tao - Hostel

We rented two mopeds from here for almost a month and got the best prices we found on the island. When we left early, they were very fair about refunding part of the rental fee we’d paid in advance. It was a great experience, with competitive pricing and people who were easy to deal with. Highly recommend.

The bikes were in perfect condition compared with other rentals, and returning them late wasn’t a problem. Mr Boy is an absolute legend. Rent a Bike or book a Snorkel tour here.

A cheap private room if you can manage the walk. Mine was a double room with a fan. It was fairly average, and I had to kill quite a few mosquitoes when I first arrived. Still, it seemed clean enough and worked fine as a place to sleep after being out all day. There was a fridge in the room, which is a really nice perk on Koh Tao. Towels were included, but breakfast wasn’t. There was one shared toilet and shower, no hairdryer or common area, and no elevator. You didn’t have to set up or pack away the bedding. Laundry washing cost 50bhat/kg, with no dryer. The safety deposit box was in a separate building, only accessible during certain hours, and access was by key. It would be better to have a box in each room so guests could use it any time. The place is fairly far from the main Sairee Beach area, with not much around. It felt safe to walk, but there are no sidewalks, so walking along the dark road with cars and mopeds passing can feel rough. For a private room it’s cheap, but the location is a drawback. I arrived a day late because I was ill. Even though I’d saved them a day of electricity and water and the AC unit was already there, the front desk wouldn’t turn it on for just one day of my three-day stay. I asked while the power had suddenly gone out. It stayed off for about 30 min, though workers estimated outages usually last about an hour. I know turning on the AC would have bent the rules a bit, but given the circumstances, I thought it was a reasonable request.

We rented two scooters and both worked perfectly. No other problems at all.
