I've traveled all over Thailand, and this place is far from the worst I've seen. It's not the right choice if you want luxury, but for one or two nights it's good value if you're used to classic Thai-style places. I saw two rooms on the second floor. They were clean, the air conditioning was quiet, street noise wasn't very noticeable, and I didn't see any insects. The first floor might be worse, though.

We were there during sonkan festival and could walk to the celebration. The location is perfect, with a great restaurant within walking distance and the port nearby, handy for anyone catching the ferry back to mainland. The staff were friendly, the room was nice and clean with aircon, and they didn't charge us a deposit.

The location is really convenient for the pier, and the small young lady at the restaurant reception was so welcoming and nice. The rooms were a bit damp, though. The bigger woman at reception was indifferent and asked us to wait a few minutes for our room. We ended up waiting about an hour and got a simpler room than the one we'd booked.

The bed is the best I've slept in so far on this trip, and the staff were friendly and helpful. They even kindly lent me an umbrella in the rain. The location is good, but vehicles drive past the rooms all night, which can keep light sleepers awake. That great bed helps, at least. In the morning we were surprised to find vehicles parked right in front of our door, so close we had to squeeze out.

For 620 THB my room was very clean, with air conditioning, hot water, two towels, and fresh drinking water. The staff were friendly, and cafés, restaurants, bars, and supermarkets are all within walking distance. Great value for a short stay, definitely recommend it. The only thing was the door didn't give me the safest impression.
