I stayed for a few weeks and would recommend it, especially if you want a kitchen. There’s a shared kitchen and a shared living and working space, plus free drinking water. The kitchen isn’t especially well equipped, but it has the basics. You also get your own fridge in the room as well as access to a larger shared one. The rooms are clean but dark and in an older style. There isn’t a standard reception, though you can usually find someone at the pharmacy next to sky Hometel. Reaching staff can be difficult: there’s one phone number, but they may not answer directly and sometimes take a day to respond. Online booking is always more expensive than booking directly at the pharmacy.

A perfectly good, basic, clean hostel for the price. The person we’d been messaging said they could pick us up at the ferry drop-off, then stopped replying and didn’t come, though taxis were easy enough to get. They provide free bread and jam, but both ran out at different times and we had to ask staff to restock them.

We picked this place because people said it was quiet, and it was just a minute back from sairee beach. The owner and staff were so friendly. There’s a nice shared area with coffee, toast and bananas, plus filtered water, which was a great extra. Really good value for the location and service. I left my phone charger behind, and she even sent it to me in koh phangan. So kind. We’ll definitely come back.

The room was much nicer than I expected, and they can pick you up from the pier for 200 TBH, compared with the 440 TBH cabs. I stayed just one night because I had another booking near my diving center. I took off a star because the cab booking wasn’t coordinated properly and cost me an extra 20 minutes. There was also construction at the other house. And the pharmacy is the reception!
