For the price, this is the best place to stay. The hostel is in the center of Saree, so everything is close by, which mattered a lot during monsoon season when going out in the rain can be difficult. Will welcomed us kindly, and Nim, who runs the dive center, checked every day if we needed anything. They made us feel comfortable the whole time. Will also shared tips on places to visit, offered to take us up the Mountain if we rented a bike, and hung out downstairs with us playing PlayStation.

I had a great time at abyss hostel. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location was ideal, close to all the facilities. I totally recommend it!

After spending hours negotiating, I ended up paying 5,000 baht, though I’d first refused when the mechanic dropped his quote from 9,700 to 7,000 baht. I’d rented the scooter for one day and hadn’t had an accident, but when I brought it back he pointed out a scratch on the exhaust and a Microsoft scratch. Having seen the earlier comments, I’m not surprised. I found the person dishonest and would avoid them.
