Amari Vogue Krabi

The location is peaceful and the beach is stunning, but the hotel is about 30/40 minutes by car from Ao Nang. It’s quite secluded, so keep that in mind if you want shops, restaurants or nightlife nearby. There’s also a steep incline, lots of steps and some uneven paths, which could make getting around difficult for anyone with mobility issues. I stayed at Amari Vogue Krabi for 6 nights and had a lovely time overall. The grounds are beautiful, the buffet breakfast was great with plenty to choose from, and the team there were polite, friendly and welcoming. Housekeeping were fantastic and helpful. The beach bar was a letdown, especially at happy hour when waits could be long, and some staff were quite rude. They added a 10% service charge to every drink, even when I had to walk up to order it myself, which didn’t feel justified. For a hotel that calls itself 5-star, some simple touches were missing, like mats by the room entrances and slippers. The bathroom setup was odd too, with a door on the shower but none on the toilet. It’s a lovely place with potential, but better beach bar service and more attention to room details would help it meet those expectations.

The views are wonderful, and the sunsets are epic. There were quite a few guests, but the pools, beach, bars and restaurants never really felt crowded. It’s a peaceful place to unwind, with fantastic staff. If you want some bustle, the nearest town is a manageable tuktuk ride away. Or take a relaxing longboat cruise straight from the hotel beach. And do as the staff and other guests do, smile a lot :)

We never had to look for a spot by the pools or beach, there were plenty of sunbeds and fresh towels. The beach itself is one of the area’s most beautiful, and feels secluded and peaceful compared with the busy center. There are several beautifully designed, well-maintained pools too. The staff made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. Everyone was kind and went out of their way to help. Our room was spacious, modern and in impeccable shape, with spotless daily cleaning. We had an incredible stay in Krabi and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We can’t wait to come back.

This is a place for relaxing and resting, so skip it if you’re after fun and excitement. When I wanted to go into the centre of Krabi, I called an Uber for 400 baht/€10. There are markets, bars and restaurants there. The hotel is in the best part of the beach, and it’s quiet. Staff were attentive, the hotel was very nice, and the rooms were impeccably clean and tidy. There are four swimming pools, including one with a jacuzzi, as well as a spa and gym. Breakfast was good, though there wasn’t much fruit and the cooked food was very spicy. There weren’t many choices for a healthier breakfast, but overall it was top notch. I recommend it.
