The rooms are basic, but clean and have what you need, including Aircon. There’s a cosy outdoor area to relax or order food, and we had a delicious Pad Krapao just before leaving. Yaya was the best host I’ve had at a Guesthouse in Thailand. She helped us with pretty much everything and suggested day trips based on what we wanted, rather than just trying to sell us any trip. Our day trip to Railay Beach was wonderful, and she also arranged our transfer to Koh Lanta. The Guesthouse is right in the centre, close to all the markets. Yaya made us feel so welcome that she was the real 5 Star experience for me. It’s sad that some people give the place a bad review because they expect a 5 Star Hotel for little money. I hope to come back to Krabi one day, simply because I’d like more time in Yayas company :) Definitely recommend ❤️

I first planned to stay at Baan To Guesthouse for a week while travelling solo at the end of two months in Thailand. It meant so much to me that I returned later for another week and a half. After travelling for so long, I found the peace and warmth I hadn’t realised I needed, somewhere I could slow down and just exist without pressure. Yaya, who runs the guesthouse, was one of the kindest, most genuine people I met in Thailand. She looked after everything with real care, made me feel seen and welcome, and helped organise tours around Krabi at very fair prices, making sure it all worked out. I also connected with other guests through conversation, quiet moments, laughter, and ordinary days. It grew into a feeling of belonging, more like being part of something human than being at a business. Krabi is a little away from the busy tourist areas, which gives the place its slower, calmer feel. And with so many cats at the guesthouse, it feels especially warm and alive if you love cats. This became much more than a place to sleep. I could breathe, reconnect with myself, and feel genuinely welcome. I know I’ll come back.

We spent christmas night here and shared a feast with all the guests, which made it feel like home. The people staying there are welcoming and have built a real community around the Guesthouse. Yaya, the host, is amazing and will help with anything. The area is calm and quiet, even though the night markets, pier, bars and restaurants are all close by. Cats are everywhere around this hostel, so it’s a paradise for cat-lovers. Would 100% recommend.

Mama, the host, was absolutely lovely and looked after me so well. I felt right at home, and the place has become my favourite in Krabi Town after staying in lots of others. It’s budget friendly, with clean, functional rooms that have two balconies, somewhere to hang clothes, a place to work, a bed and a bathroom. The main part of town is just a short walk away. Cat lovers will find at least 12 friendly, affectionate cats on the property. They’ll also leave you alone if you don’t feel like interacting. I had a wonderful time and have found my new place whenever I visit Krabi town.

Yaya was very friendly and made sure I enjoyed Krabi. She arranged the 7 islands tour and Phiphi island tour for a very reasonable price, then helped me organise transport to Railay beach. My room was clean, and the coffee was very good. Just so you know, there are lots of cats and two dogs, so it may not suit you if you’re allergic. I stayed two nights and will definitely come back! ♥️♥️♥️
