Buri Tara Resort Krabi (SHA Plus+)

Breakfast had a tiny buffet, maybe the smallest I’ve seen while traveling, perhaps because the hotel had fewer guests. What they did serve was fresh and good quality. The bread and pastries were surprisingly good, especially the soft, delicious muffins. There were also a few hot dishes to order. I tried the fried rice and still miss it; the English breakfast was average. They had basic cereal and a few juices, including pineapple. The hotel is in a handy spot, with a moderately quiet atmosphere. It’s a 20-30 minute walk to Ao Nang Beach, less than five minutes to 7-Eleven, and around 10-15 minutes to Kodam Kitchen. Tuk-tuks, both motorbike and car, are easy to find just outside, and massage shops are across the road. Reception was friendly and helpful, and check-in went smoothly. Our room was comfortable, but the bathroom seemed dated and poorly maintained, the balcony was dusty and not properly cleaned, and toiletries were very minimal. It was a decent stay, though room upkeep and cleanliness could be better.

The staff were incredibly friendly, and check-in at reception was a pleasant welcome. We felt comfortable in the modern, really nice room right away. Breakfast had a great selection.

The staff were polite and accommodating, and the pool was great. They had a happy hour with buy-one-get-one cocktails three times a day. Our room was lovely, with a large bathroom that had both a shower and bathtub. It was quiet, close to 7/11, and far enough from the noise and night market. Great value.

The staff are cooperative and well behaved, and it’s a very good hotel. I took off one star because there’s no Indian food at breakfast. If Indian food matters to you, book without breakfast and eat out instead, there are plenty of Indian restaurants nearby.
