We were on the top floor and had a balcony where we could watch the sunset in comfort. There’s no lift, so bear that in mind if stairs are difficult for you. The room had a very big comfortable bed and a good bathroom. Management were helpful and booked us an island boat trip. It’s a friendly place to stay, with a great breakfast. I especially loved the banana pancakes. There are markets with good food just a few minutes’ walk away, plus a 7-11 and lots of cafes, restaurants, and breakfast spots. The location is handy, just up the road from the pier for longtail boats to Railay beach.

Grandmom Place is a great choice in Krabi and excellent value for the money. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and caring, and they clearly take pride in keeping the hotel and rooms clean. Our room was comfortable and well maintained, so it was easy to relax after a day out. The location makes it easy to get to shops, restaurants, cafés, and everyday amenities, with plenty of tour agencies nearby for booking excursions. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a clean, well-located hotel with excellent service at a very reasonable price.

The view over Krabi from Room 5 on the fourth floor was lovely, and I really enjoyed my two nights there. What impressed me most came after checkout: I realized I’d left my Nintendo Switch behind. A new guest had already checked in, but the staff still said they’d look for it. They called that evening to tell me they’d found it. You can tell they really care. Wonderful, honest service. Highly recommend.

Easy to walk to the shops, and I felt safe here. The room was simple and clean, though the toilet handle was coming loose. There are a lot of stairs, the TV was really bad, and the Wi-Fi was fair. If you’re checking out before 9 AM, ask how to get your key deposit back.

The coffee here is worth a mention. I had an iced americano at Grandmom Place, and it was delicious. We also found the location right in Krabi town really convenient. Our basic room was very clean, and the owners and staff were friendly and looked after us well during our two-night stay.
