Krabi La Playa Resort

We spent four nights at Krabi La Playa Resort and found it a handy base for exploring Krabi and taking trips to the islands. You can cut through the pool area to nearby streets, and it's about a five-minute walk to the beach and 7-11. Long tail boats to Railay beach leave directly from here, and a pier nearby serves the farther islands. Our room was clean and spacious, with a balcony looking over the pool and sunset. Breakfast was basic but nice. The pool bar has two-for-one cocktails every day from 4-6pm, though at 320B for a cocktail outside happy hour, the bar feels pricey. Better value is out in the area. There are activities at the hotel every day, but we were out and about and missed them. The night market is about ten minutes away on foot and runs every night. We highly recommend a visit.

The hotel is in a great spot, minutes from the Main Street, a short walk to Ao Nang night market and street sellers, and moments from the beach. Every staff member we met, from reception and the restaurant to housekeeping, was so polite and eager to make our stay happy and relaxing. I had an incredible Thai massage each day for 480B (£10). The hotel is quiet, with a lovely pool, and daily activities include yoga, stretching, and even towel-folding classes for people who don't exercise. We'll definitely return.

We're here with family, and the resort is okay. The staff have been good, and I liked the free tea and coffee in the lobby from 11am to 5pm, especially the tasty pineapple biscuits. Breakfast is there, but it hasn't been amazing. They only give one key card per room, so if two people head out separately, one has to leave it at reception. That feels odd these days. It's a nice enough place since our travel agent booked it, but I probably wouldn't choose it again. Breakfast matters a lot to me, along with the overall feel, and neither really won me over.

We spent two nights here over the public holidays and had a great stay. The hotel was cozy and peaceful, with good facilities and service. It's about a five-minute walk to Aonang Beach, and the Aonang Night Market is nearby too. The buffet breakfast had plenty of choices. I'd come back to Krabi and stay here again.
