PP Charlie Beach Resort

We had a great time celebrating our anniversary, and the location may be one of the best around. They even arranged a beautiful cake setup. Breakfast was good, but the service was lacking. With breakfast tables right by the water, guests who want something have to go all the way inside. Water bottles at the tables would help, and a coffee station would be useful too. A machine would be nice, though a carafe should be enough. Cleanliness was a problem. The room was dusty, and the taps and shower heads were all stained, probably from hard or salt water. It doesn't look old, just dirty. We left at 6:00 in the morning with the cleaning tag outside, but when we returned around 2:45 p.m., the room still hadn't been cleaned. It didn't bother us much since we spent little time there, but it shouldn't have taken that long.

The hotel kept a 1,000 baht deposit even though the room was in awful shape. The accommodation wasn't worth the price, and I wouldn't recommend staying here. It looked very different from the online photos and descriptions. The room was old, tiny, noisy, dirty, and poorly maintained, well below an acceptable hotel standard. I'd advise future guests to be cautious about what they're booking.

The resort sits right on the beach, with an amazing location, a large swimming pool, and a beautiful breakfast area. I was disappointed by the rooms in the older building. My mattress was damaged, and instead of replacing it, they put another mattress on top. The restaurant food tastes good, but it's never served warm enough.

The pool is nice, but the bar music was very loud, and some sunbeds are only available if you spend 400 THB at the bar while using them. I gave it 2 stars because the staff were kind and spoke English, and breakfast with its views was pretty amazing. Some buildings have standard rooms that are terribly outdated, with paper-thin walls. Our room looked onto streets where music and drunk tourists carried on until 2/3 am, and this hadn't been mentioned in the reservation. One morning, some staff even smoked in the staircase, which was truly disgusting. The WiFi also wasn't secure, so none of our devices would connect.
