Inside, the smell was overwhelming, especially near the end of the corridor by my room. It was much worse than humidity, almost like a dead animal. The room and bathroom felt damp and unclean. The sink was clogged, the shower only worked if I opened the valve under the heater, and the soap dispenser was broken and empty. I didn’t feel it was hygienic enough to shower. I tried opening the balcony door for fresh air, but the balcony was in terrible shape, with an abandoned bird’s nest full of droppings. The air-conditioner drainage area smelled bad and had visible mold. I also saw a dead bird on the roof just below the balcony. Along with the strong smell inside, that was disturbing, and I couldn’t wait to leave. Outside, the lotus pond had cloudy, stagnant water and fish. It looked as if it hadn’t had fresh water in a long time and wasn’t being maintained. This was terrible value for money. I honestly wonder how hotel hygiene inspections work here, because I think an inspector might shut this property down.
