Lampang Residence

The room and bed were huge, and both were comfortable. Parking was good, the location worked well, and the staff were nice. The bathroom had a big mirror and strong water pressure, though the towels felt a little rough and could be softer. Breakfast was pretty good, with fresh fruit and bread, and there’s a machine that makes lattes and other coffee drinks. It’s near the main road, but restaurant choices are limited. We found a place across the road that seemed to be a karaoke bar, I think, and 7.11 is an easy walk. Great value.

For the price, this clean, updated hotel was a hidden gem. We’d stayed at a top-rated place before where it smelled bad and the AC didn’t work, while here the rooms were clean, the front desk was attentive, and the rate was much better. The breakfast is typical Thai fare, with chicken sausage, soup, rice, toast, salad, and a few other things. Hot water was good too. My only complaint was that the bed felt a little too soft for my taste. I’d recommend this over most of the top-rated options.

The rooms are quite spacious, with a huge clothes closet and a surprisingly large refrigerator. Everything looks new overall, and the rooms were clean, though the beds were very soft. What let the place down for me was the isolation. There’s no restaurant, and you can’t buy alcohol or drinks at the hotel. It also feels far from social spots or other places to gather. Big C is a few blocks away, but overall the hotel seems quite cut off.

There’s loads of shelf space in the room, plus two tables with seats. It was spacious, modern, clean, and comfortable, and I can picture my husband and me living there long term. The breakfast buffet has a wide selection and is consistently good. Excellent value for money, highly recommended.
