I usually just avoid places I don't like and tell people about them if asked, without leaving a review. This stay was so comedy bad that I had to break that habit. I booked a Queen Room with balcony and garden view, but the room shown in the pic was nowhere near the hotel, at least 100m away across a car park. I arrived at 2:30 to check in and found nobody there. I called the owner and got a key from a cleaner. The first room hadn't been made up after the previous occupant, so I called the owner again to explain. His daughter brought a key for a second room, but apparently that room was already booked. I ended up sleeping in a third room that was made up, but didn't match the listing at all. I had to ask for tissue and soap. There were mosquitoes all night, something a quick spray by the cleaners could have sorted. I went for a swim and had to ask them to turn on the filter. The water was stagnant and mosquitoes were everywhere. As soon as I got out, they turned the filter off again, as if my pool privileges had been revoked. It felt like I, the customer, had to remind everyone there was a hotel thing happening. Just do the basics. I left at 7am the next morning, embarrassed by the whole situation. I've stayed at much better places in town for a fraction of the price. I booked this one because I wanted to relax, unwind, and have a bit of luxury on my way to Lampang. Lesson learned. They took my money and stiffed me, with no acknowledgment of how awful the experience was. They should be ashamed of themselves, frankly.

The room was clean and super comfortable, and the people working there were really kind. The jacuzzi didn't work to close it off and take a bath, and water from the shower head dripped and flooded the room, so I had to keep it in my hand. There's almost nothing around, so you need a motorbike to do anything.

The worst part was the location. There's really nothing around the hotel, and it's just off a busy road. It might be manageable if you drive, but ordering a Grab or Bolt was almost impossible. Being so remote would be easier to deal with if there were anything to do at the hotel, but there was absolutely nothing going on. It had a pool and a breakfast buffet, which I didn't try, but there was nowhere to get food, a drink, or water for the rest of the day. The staff were polite and came to our room each day with water and towels when we were there, and cleaned while we were out. One day we asked them to book a taxi, but couldn't communicate because of the language barrier, so we didn't get one. The room itself was spacious and fine, but smelled bad from the bathroom. The hotel seemed quite empty, and there were lots of vacant rooms, so I wonder why they couldn't give us one that didn't smell. I wouldn't visit again.

It's a newly built, peaceful place, very clean, and the room is top notch. The bed and pillow were good quality, and even the inverter AC helped me get a good night's sleep. I was surprised to find such quality lodging at a fair price, just 40km from Chaingmai. A really excellent alternative to staying in Chaingmai.
