Wanlapa Farmstay

The farm setting is gorgeous and so relaxing that I extended my stay twice. You’re right there among the animals, many of them wandering freely wherever they like, so keep that in mind if animals make you nervous. I loved it. The morning view is incredible, and all the staff were super friendly. Thanks for the lovely time.

My kids had a really memorable first farm visit, thanks to the super friendly family. The place is a bit rugged rather than boutique, but we thought it was worth the time, and the food was pretty good. We visited in rainy season, so expect storms and bring boots for little kids and yourself. They had to put hay down after a storm. The kitchen opened at 8:30, not 7:30, so plan for that. Activities took a while to set up and the kids had to wait a bit. Book with the manager and be clear about what to expect with small children. They were incredibly accommodating, even extending the clay activity so my two-year-olds could get extra sensory play. The kids enjoyed all the activities. I’d spread them across the trip, some in the morning and some in the afternoon, for a relaxing visit. Watch small children around the geese: they’ll chase, though they’re harmless. When we first arrived, my two-year-old panicked and nearly tripped into the pond. We’d give the place a good review and will come back in peak weather season.

The hosts made us feel at home, and the free-roaming animals brought a lovely bit of nature to the stay. There were plenty of activities for kids, too. It’s a peaceful spot with beautiful views, well away from the tourist areas but conveniently beside a train station. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. A great choice for an authentic, family-friendly farm experience.

Many farm animals wander around freely, so watch your step! It’s a lovely escape from city life, with some rooms facing the fields for sunrise views. There’s plenty for kids to do, including making salted eggs and clay art, along with other activities. Horse and buffalo rides are available too, with a charge for each activity. The food was decent.
