Green Mountain Resort

I paid 800 baht/night, with no breakfast, for room 201 on the second floor of the main building. Everything was fine, and I recommend staying here. If you’re sensitive to noise from neighbors, the cement bungalows scattered around the garden may suit you better. Thai people seem to prefer those, and they aren’t quite as close to other rooms as the ones in the main building. I have to say again that many Thai people don’t seem concerned about respecting their neighbors. They make noise as if they were in a private villa, instead of a hotel room.

The staff were super nice and very helpful, and it’s a new, excellent hotel in a central spot, about a five-minute walk from the airport, which doesn’t have many planes. The city has a small-town feel. I spent just one night and loved every bit of it. Anyone giving this less than five stars has their nose in the air and should stick to five-star hotels in major cities. People come to this city for a reason.

We planned four nights at 700 bht per night, but liked it so much that we extended to 16 nights. The accommodation was nice, with a great view and friendly, good staff. The restaurant is five minutes away on foot, and the airport is also five minutes away. There was no breakfast during our stay. By car, we visited lots of places, including Pang Mapha viewpoint, Ban cha bo, Su tong pe Bridge, Pang Ung, Pha Bong and temples. We saw and felt the beauty of nature, the quality of life and the smiles of local people around us. We made memories in this province until our next visit.
