We only had to stay because it was late and there was nowhere else nearby, but the room was awful. The sheets were dirty and smelled strongly of chemical spray, and bedbug marks covered the bed, curtains, and furniture. When we showed them to the owner, she brushed us off and said we “shouldn’t look.” That doesn’t make bedbugs go away. The staff had seemed nice at first and even gave us a papaya, which made the contrast worse. We left deeply disappointed after just one night. Avoid this place.

We had a really relaxed stay here while climbing. It’s a short walk to 7-11, the fresh market, a good coffee shop, and a massage place right next door. The family who runs this home stay lives there, so it feels like being welcomed into a local home. We cooked dinner in their kitchen and spent evenings on the balcony with drinks. Their dogs came over for pats and the cats wandered by too. They picked us up from the airport and rented us a scooter, which covered pretty much everything we needed.

The garden is a lovely spot to sit on the deck and watch the birds among the trees and flowers. The property was clean and adorably decorated, and the bed was comfortable with a cozy comforter. It’s close to the Crazy horse buttress climbing area, as well as town and restaurants. The host was lovely, and I’d recommend staying here.

The hosts are delightful, and there’s a great restaurant, The Western, nearby. You can walk to a hot springs, though depending on which one you’re going to it takes anywhere from 10 to 45 minutes. They also have a couple of motorbikes for rent. The cottages are small and cool, set in a nice garden, and definitely rustic. It’s quiet, which I liked.

We loved the view, the trees and flowers, and the whole vibe here. The owners are awesome, and they were always available when we had a question or needed something. Everything felt perfect to us, and we only wish we’d stayed longer. Thanks so much! If we come back to climb in the area, we’ll stay here again for sure. We’ll be back. Sophie and alexis ❤️
