This is where I come when I need real time to myself and a break from everything. The way the rooms are laid out, the jungle setting, and the forest behind it all make the place feel serene and grounded, like a mystical hideaway where you can rest your soul and just be and feel. It’s a gift to have this spot in the area. I hope people come here to be nourished by the atmosphere and give something back to it.

The price was amazingly low, and the resort is a solid five stars for me. It’s tucked along Mae Rim mountain in Chiang Mai, and the place is gorgeous. The huge rooms are beautifully designed, with a look that mixes a little Morocco with boutique Thai style. They’re bigger than most people’s entire condos. Staff and owner welcomed us warmly when we arrived. The pool was beautiful and very clean, a real find in Thailand, where a professionally maintained, healthy pool can be hard to come by. It’s a lovely place for the price, and a good spot to relax. It’s also very isolated, a long way from most activities, restaurants, and shops. I’d suggest renting a motorbike since getting around that way is much cheaper. Otherwise, you can spend a fortune on trips anywhere.

The room was really dirty, with hair and used tissue left by the previous guest. I booked for three days through Booking.com, and after my flight was canceled I couldn’t check in on the scheduled day. I messaged through the site, got no reply, then tried again the next day while I was at the airport. Still nothing. This was my first and last time booking through Booking.com because its customer service was terrible. I only ended up here because the lantern festival had already filled the city center hotels, and this place is really far away. I spent a lot on car services. Even if you want to stay outside the city center, I can’t recommend it because the cleanliness and customer service were so bad.
