Monoceros Resort

We spent a very restful stay in one of the detached bungalows. With tall trees all around and plenty of room, it felt like waking up in a tropical forest after a nap. The staff were friendly without hovering, quietly keeping everything running. We liked the range of food and drinks at the restaurant, especially getting coffee around 2pm and sitting on the terrace in the January sun. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owners. You can tell they care a lot about the property and the work they put into the resort. It's a real gem, and we'd love to stay here again.

Birdsong and crickets are what wake you in the morning here. I've been to Monoceros Resort for three years now, and the natural beauty across the property keeps drawing me back. The pool is beautiful and huge by local resort standards, and the menu mixes Thai and Western dishes. The staff are friendly and dependable. The owners are around to help arrange the kind of outings you want, whether that's a rental car or a ride to the Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden.

The garden is beautiful, the resort itself is nice, and the employees were very friendly. If your room is fine, you may have a good stay. Ours wasn't. Something, either a mouse or a fat dormouse, was behind the ceiling light. It started moving around at about 11 p.m., scratching loudly all night and making sleep impossible. We tried calling the owner around 11:30, but nobody was there and there were no contact details anywhere in the resort. Another guest eventually helped us reach him. He said he couldn't help, then hung up. After we got almost no sleep, the other owner yelled at and insulted us the next morning, said it wasn't really a problem, and told us to check out that day. The way they spoke to us was rude and disrespectful, as if we'd done something wrong by reporting the room issue. We've travelled for nearly a year and stayed in many places around the world, and have never had an experience like this. The animal and noise were bad, but the owners' response was the real problem. Absolutely shameful behavior.

A clean, good place to unwind in a quiet, cozy rainforest setting. I had a cold Chang Beer at the restaurant and listened to the birds. Tip: book a tour to the Queen Sirikit botanical garden 🙏👍
