We had very clean, comfortable rooms, and the staff were super friendly. Communication was a little difficult, but we managed. The food was excellent for the price, and breakfast was delicious. Our room and the restaurant on top both had amazing views, even in the rain. The weather was stormy, so we didn’t use the pool. One small drawback of a rural village stay is all the roosters and dogs. They were active at every hour, day and night, though I guess the rain made them a bit quieter.

We had a horrible night’s sleep. The walls were thin, dogs barked through the night, and then the roosters took over at dawn, calling at full volume for hours. There were dozens of them around the hotel, which sits in the middle of a local farming village. That’s not the staff’s fault, but it was the biggest downside for us. The rooms were clean, the view was lovely, and the restaurant food was very good. The staff were friendly, and breakfast was spectacular.

We only stayed one night and wished we could have added another to enjoy the pool and deck. The hillside setting has beautiful views, and the room had a deck and a comfy bed. I was glad it wasn’t the usual firm Asian mattress. Slept really well, then had a great breakfast of savoury rice porridge in the morning.

The hotel is very close to the bus stop, and I’d definitely return. The rooms are beautiful, the pool and resort grounds are lovely, and the food was excellent. It was an amazing place to stay.

The views across the valley towards Lao were spectacular. It was a wonderful place to stay, with helpful staff, great food, comfortable beds, and hot showers.
