It's a short walk to a convenience store and local market, though having your own transport would be better. This old-style Thai budget hotel has a slightly run-down look and a range of room types, with prices from 250 to 600++ baht. I paid 450 baht for an AC room with a fridge, TV showing Thai channels only, and hot water. It was clean and tidy, and everything worked okay. Good value for the money.

The bed was so soft my back hit the spring, and there was some noise from other guests. For 450 a night, it's toward the cheaper end around here, though it seemed to lack some of the charm of nearby guesthouses. On the plus side, the room was clean, with hot shower, fridge, Wi-Fi, AC, a small table and chairs. They provided two towels and two bottles of water.

For a place in the north, 450 baht felt relatively expensive. We got a twin bed, private bathroom, refrigerator and towels, so it was okay overall. The main problem was the AC, which made a loud, screechy noise and disturbed my sleep.

We'd ridden 190 km to town and checked six hotels. The cheap ones were horrible and the others very expensive, then we found this one for 300b with everything we needed. The fan room was big and clean, with twin beds and a fairly soft, comfortable mattress. There was a hot shower, TV with an English program, good-speed Wi-Fi, towels and soap. In the morning, hot water, coffee, sugar, dried milk, cocoa and two kinds of cookies were set out by the downstairs office. Very kind. The lady was friendly, and we felt really good there.
