The only real drawback I found was breakfast, which was very basic and cold, so not really worth it. Otherwise, it’s a clean, fairly modern place with huge rooms, good fast wifi, and a great TV with channels from around the world. It’s cheap, about 600 Baht a night, and the bed could be a little softer. The location is quiet and nice, a little outside the city center and around 500m from the main road. With your own transport it’s easy, and without it you can walk to the highway for a cab or songthaew to town, the bus station, airport, bridge, casinos, or wherever. Town is also walkable, around a km or so.

The room was comfortable and well maintained, a good hotel for the area near the Myanmar border. The main drawbacks are that it’s tucked away from the main road and quite far from a convenience store. I’m not fussy about food as long as it’s hygienic and well cooked.

For $17 a night, I can’t complain. It’s a lovely budget hotel with a large clean room, strong wifi, and a nice balcony and garden. Breakfast options were limited, and so were the receptionists’ English skills.

The room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff were friendly. But before our 11am checkout time, the Myanmar maids were chatting outside the room in a way that felt like they were trying to chase us out. I found that rude.
