Getting around the city by car was easy, with restaurants and bars nearby. My wife and I stayed at S-Tawan for three days earlier this month. The stay was pleasant and everything else felt fair for the price, but on check-in day we found a dead pigeon on the balcony and had to tell housekeeping. The room heater was also broken, so we had no hot water during our stay.

The staff were kind and really helpful, and both our room and the pool area were clean. The hotel is a bit worn, though. It takes about a 30-minute walk to reach the city center, and the nearest 7/11 is around 20 minutes away, but there are good restaurants nearby. I can't understand all the bad reviews, since my stay seemed so good. I'd recommend it, as long as you have a car or bike if you don't want to walk.

The staff were friendly and liked chatting in English. My stay was comfortable enough, with a good bed, AC, and hot water in the shower. There was a small balcony or patio, and the price was very reasonable.

There are two good clubs nearby, though the place was hard to find. The pool was slimy and had insects, and there were hundreds of mosquitoes in the bathroom, probably because it's close to a pond.

A no-fuss hotel with a modern, comfortable, very clean room and good amenities. The price was good too. I'd highly recommend it to visitors in Maha Sarakham.
