Good food and coffee in a natural setting.

The food was the biggest disappointment, especially after the amazing pictures my mother showed me. What arrived was completely different. Lunch was bland and ice-cold. They said refills were available, but there was a limit. Cleanliness was zero: my mother took a short sip of lemon tea from the machine and found a fly in the straw. We stopped eating everything. The steamed crab, which seemed to be a selling point, was badly unfresh. It smelled rotten, the meat was mushy, and the pieces were tiny. Between four of us, we probably ate no more than four crabs. We tried two plates, smelling and peeling them, and threw away the ones that smelled rotten. We wasted more than we ate. The soup was bland and cold, the spicy salad sickeningly sweet, and the steamed shrimp wasn't fresh. We ordered shrimp twice, and only two were fresh; the rest were practically stuck to the shells. They also poured Chang beer from a bottle into a pitcher. I don't know why, maybe they were trying to make it seem draft. They advertised unlimited food, but the selection was extremely limited. When we asked for fruit after the savory dishes, staff disappeared for 45 minutes, then brought it to several tables at once. It was watermelon and pineapple under plastic wrap. The watermelon was already bruised despite them trying to remove the bruised bits, and it tasted that way. One piece was more than enough. The pineapple still had green rind attached. It cost 1950 baht per person. Consider whether it's worth it. Getting in was awkward too: the entrance is a single-lane road, and if a car comes the other way, you have to reverse even though it isn't far in. The room itself was adequate, looked new, had cold air conditioning, good bathroom water pressure, and a water heater, but no wifi, which was acceptable.

The restaurant singer was very entertaining, but I wasn't impressed overall and wouldn't recommend the place. We booked a room for 11 people, and it was dirty and musty, with air conditioning that didn't work. Some restaurant servers and resort staff were rude. The seafood wasn't fresh, the fried rice was so soggy it was inedible, and the crabs were small and not fresh. At 1,750 baht per person, it wasn't worth it.
