Just a regular, cheap place for a short stay.

It’s worn out, but cheap, so you get what you pay for. The place seems like it’s seen better days. The woman at the counter was funny and kept laughing when I tried to buy snacks.

The air conditioning gets very cold, though the room’s interior and amenities are a little dated. The price is cheap.

We chose this place after reading that the rooms were inexpensive and the service was good. On arrival, the staff greeted us politely. Later, when I tried to shower, the water heater in room 127 wouldn’t work. We looked for an on/off switch or a button underneath, but couldn’t find one. I got dressed and went out to report it. The staff said to press the button at the bottom of the unit. I said we’d already checked and would go back to make sure. We checked again, still no luck, and went back to tell them. At that point the staff raised their voice, looked irritated, and shook their head. They said, “What do you want us to do? It’s late and the technicians have already left. They probably can’t come fix it now.” A friend sitting nearby asked, “Why don’t you go check for them?” The staff went quiet. I asked softly and politely, “So it can’t be fixed?” We hurried back to the room and heard loud talking, then what sounded like bottles being tossed and groaning. Soon there was someone calling out and a man speaking loudly. I don’t understand why that’s how they handled a customer’s problem. They could have calmly explained the heater was broken, or offered a room change. Instead, they refused to help and raised their voices as if it were our fault. I managed to keep my temper, but then they came back to complain and yell at me in the room. If they’d met someone else, it could have made the news. Being tense doesn’t give you the right to take it out on anyone. They should think about that.
