Parking was easy, with a large lot right in front, and there’s an ATM at the main entrance. The older hotel is large and fairly well maintained, with two lifts and rooms and toilets that are an okay size. Breakfast was included in a big dining room, but the food was mostly Thai and the dish notes were only in Thai. There’s also a top-floor bar with views over the city from both sides.

The rooms were outstanding for this area, and the price and amenities were decent. There’s also a downstairs service for flights to Bangkok. Nearby are little restaurants and bars, plus a nice coffee shop across the road called lindley. The beers were cold, but the coffee machine wasn’t working, so I couldn’t try the coffee.

Plot Palace hotel is right in the centre, which worked perfectly for our UK Care for Thailand Team to meet with our partners Tonkla and visit our project sites. The rooms were clean, spacious, and perfectly adequate. Breakfast had options for both east and west tastes, and dinner was delicious, with Thai and Eurpoean food. The staff were attentive, friendly, and helpful.

The views are fantastic, and the place has palatial features, though it feels tired and a little dated. I wouldn’t really expect UK standards in Thailand, but the towels were very thin. I also would’ve liked a tea or coffee bag, with only a kettle and water provided.

The room was nice, with a bathtub and a hot shower, and breakfast had a good variety. We weren't happy with the beef burger, though. It came without cheese and had some vegetables mixed into the patty. Everything else was superb!!
