A quiet spot that still puts you close to the night market walking street, the Vietnamese clock tower, and landmark Naga (Phaya Si Sattanakharat). You can rent a bicycle to explore town and ride along the river. At Por Piang Hotel, the grand deluxe room had a large comfortable bed, air conditioning, kettle with instant coffee, hairdryer, mini fridge, safe (read the instructions first), bathrobe, and slippers. The staff were warm and friendly, and I had a really pleasant stay. I’d recommend it if you’re after a quiet area.

They offer breakfast for 88 baht, and there are free bikes for a morning ride. Khun Ni was especially kind and helpful. It’s a clean, pleasant, quiet hotel, only a three-minute walk from walking street. This was my second stay, and I’ll come back again.

The bathroom was the main problem for us. It’s so small I couldn’t bend down in the shower to wash, and my taller son bruised his leg trying to use the toilet. They also ask for a 300B key deposit per room, which is annoying. That said, Porpiang Hotel is a great little place right in central Nakhon Phanom. The beds are super comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, and there was enough storage and work space. Security felt excellent, with CCTV and a locked door between reception and the rooms. I’d still definitely recommend it.

The service was high quality and the hotel was nice. I’d recommend a visit when traveling to Nakhon Panom.

The staff were really friendly, and it’s a quiet location just an easy few minutes’ walk from walking street. My room was clean, comfortable, and nicely presented, with a big comfortable bed, coffee-making facilities, and a hairdryer.
