The bed and shower were good, but the room was basic and, for the price, too bare in my opinion. Noise was the bigger problem: I could hear neighbors talking, plus sewage water running whenever someone in another room showered. I normally stay at another hotel in NP that costs one third as much, is nearer the center, and offers the same comfort, though without breakfast. Siri's breakfast is good, but not worth the much higher price. I don't need breakfast or a pool, just a good bed, quiet, and a warm shower, so there are cheaper places that suit me better. You won't see me back here. I mainly chose this place for breakfast and decent coffee. The machine was already having problems on day 1, but they waited until it completely broke on day 2. I had to spend 450 THB at Amazon next door.

The pool on level 7 has a nice view of the Mekong. I stayed for 2 nights and had a clean room, and the reception staff were friendly. I enjoyed relaxing by the pool, though it was so, so hot. They could also turn on the lobby air-con around noon when it's hot and humid. Breakfast was aimed at locals. For foreigners, there was coffee, toast, and cereal. Still, we enjoyed our stay. Update, 3 Sep 2026.

I've stayed here 4 times, and it's always been a nice place. The location is 300% perfect, and the front desk staff are friendly and helpful. This time I'd give it 7.5/10 :) My room looked old and untidy, with lots of dirty spots and stains on the bathroom wall and mirror. I could also hear the HK staff talking in the corridor. The admin staff member answering chat could be gentler and more polite, too. I found the one-word replies to my questions a bit rude.

The room overlooking the Mekong and the hills in Laos was a lovely place to unwind, especially while a storm passed. It's a great place for families as well as anyone else, and breakfast was great every day. The clock tower in town, by the river, was only a two-minute drive away. There are lots of places to eat and drink there, and it's a lovely area for a long walk.
