VELA Dhi Nakhon Phanom

Getting around from here was super convenient, and the location is great. The staff were welcoming and gave excellent service with warm smiles. I was impressed by how clean and comfortable the rooms were for sleeping. I’d highly recommend this place if you’re visiting Nakhon Phanom. You won’t be disappointed! 🩷

The bed was soft and comfortable, one of the few things I liked. The room’s flashy design seems aimed at a younger crowd, and didn’t feel suited to a relaxing, comfortable stay. Breakfast was disappointing, especially given that this hotel costs more than River Hotel, where I stayed for two days before coming here for one night. Although this place looks new, the bathroom hadn’t been properly cleaned and the balcony was covered in bird droppings. The staff were good, and they were comfortable speaking English.

The view of the Mekhong river from the window is lovely, and the atmosphere is fantastic. I liked the bathroom too, especially the strong water pressure and the good shower temperature. It’s my first time staying at VELA DHI, though this is my second visit to Nakornphanom. I was so satisfied that I’ll come back and stay here again.

We loved the sauna, which isn’t very common in Thailand, and the beautiful suite, room 611, had magical sunrise views. We’d recommend that room. We had come to Vela DHi after canceling our Agoda booking at de Regent Siri hotel down the road. They only told us at check-in, without warning, that their pool was closed, and let us cancel. Vela DHi was within walking distance, and Tootuu, the duty manager, welcomed us warmly. We were stressed and tired, and she helped us quickly and professionally. Our main problem was the lack of sound isolation between rooms. At 1:30am, loud guests turned their TV up full blast and woke us. Reception sorted it quickly after we alerted them, but our sleep was badly affected. Thanks to Tootuu and her staff for making us feel at home.
