This budget apartment is handy for an overnight stop on the way to Bangkok, especially if you don’t fancy an eight hour drive in Thailand’s tough traffic. It’s roughly halfway between Udon Thani and Bangkok, just a couple of kilometres off the main road. The village has a 7-11 and a Big C convenience store. For 350 Baht, the room is good value, with AC, a TV, kettle and hot shower. Bring your own tea and milk. It’s clean, though the rock hard bed may not suit all Europeans. There are lots of rooms, so outside holiday periods it probably won’t be full.

I’ve stayed here many times and like it. The rooms are quiet, clean, affordable, and well equipped, with air conditioning. The owner is kind and friendly, and the service is excellent. There are shops downstairs, and the gardens around the property have good air quality. It’s close to the city center, but the access road is a bit tricky, especially at night if you don’t know Korat. Having your own vehicle is recommended. If you want somewhere quiet and clean with air conditioning, I highly recommend it.

For 300 baht, I got a clean, spacious bedroom and bathroom, with a wardrobe and dressing table. The service was excellent, and the owner was very friendly. The access is quite secluded, though, and the road is in poor condition.
