Sima Thani Hotel (SHA Extra Plus)

Breakfast was excellent, and the pool and fitness center add a lot for the price. The hotel feels comfortable and budget-friendly. Recent renovations have given it a fresh, modern look, and the rooms have updated air-conditioning that keeps them cool. The hallway carpets still look old and worn, which takes away a little from the refreshed feel. Even with those dated details, the updates and facilities make it worth recommending.

The room was spotless and spacious, with silky smooth linens, though the bed felt a bit firm. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The place itself shows its age and may have been a Sheraton in the 90s or 00s. The bathroom doesn't have dental kits, but I brought my own, so that wasn't an issue. I didn't eat at the hotel, so I can't comment on the food. It's about 10 minutes from The Mall Korat and Saveone market, at opposite ends, so finding somewhere to eat wasn't a problem. Indoor parking is limited, but there's plenty of outdoor parking on the grounds.

I rarely see a room aired out with the air-conditioning already running before arrival, and that attention to detail impressed me. The service was excellent. There's a 7/11 within walking distance, along with a range of street food stalls and restaurants. As a hospitality instructor, I highly recommend The Sima Thani hotel.

The rooms were great, and there's a nice lobby and restaurant. Breakfast was good, the dinner buffet was excellent and amazing value, and all the staff were excellent. Agoda made a simple change request, which my booking allowed, far more difficult than it needed to be, as usual. I got it sorted directly with the hotel thanks to Intira and Natraporn at the front desk, who were great. Some areas of the hotel need upgrading, but places like this have to make improvements gradually rather than all at once.
