Banpu Resort & Spa

We stayed here the night before heading to Koh Kood, since it's close to the ferry port. It was far nicer than I expected, and the beautiful location was a real surprise. The farm shop and cafe food was delicious. You can use bicycles and kayaks or go on nature walks. It's so tranquil, a must visit.

I tried staying one night in one of the chalets over the water, and it was a wonderful night. Everything was nice, including the bedsheet and towel. Breakfast was medium.

The view from the terrace was so relaxing, and it was quiet enough that I didn't need earplugs at night. The bathroom was modern and spacious, and the breakfast had a variety of good looking options. The staff were very friendly, and even helped us find a restaurant after the one beside the resort had closed.

The resort is set up for relaxing, and both the rooms and location were fantastic. Our evening ended with ice cold beers and a quick dip in the pool, though the restaurant closes at 8 pm, which seemed strange for Thailand. The restaurant service was the problem. Food for the three of us arrived at intervals of 30 minutes, so the shared plates were cold by the time the last dishes came. Staff apologized, but were overwhelmed and understaffed because a company conference was taking place on site. The resort advertises catering for conferences as a normal service, so that was disappointing.
