I came planning to stay a week because of the location, but for a few reasons I cut it to one night. The room was spacious enough, the bed was great, and the price reasonable, so I don't want to sound entirely negative. I left these details in a review because trying to explain them to the staff, who don't speak English, seemed impossible. The main issue was the AC noise. The outdoor unit's wall bracket has no rubber mounts to stop vibration, something that costs 45 baht. It also seems to be positioned so the warm air can't escape, making it work harder and get louder, while raising the owner's energy bill. In the evenings there was no one at reception and no security guard. The staff were helpful, but didn't answer ordinary questions guests might have.

Sky Korat is new, with clean rooms and very good service. The downtown location is handy, with plenty of spacious parking, and The Mall Korat is just a five-minute walk away.

The people running Sky Korat, a staff and family team, were excellent. My top-floor room was roomy, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The hotel is conveniently close to a shopping mall, a local market, and a Tops Daily convenience store. I had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it.

There’s on-site parking, the room is comfortable, and the wifi is strong. Sky Korat is good value, with a great location between the old and new districts. The Mall is only a couple of minutes away on foot, and there’s a wet market plus a couple of convenience stores nearby.

I stayed with friends, and Sky Korat felt homey, with the convenience of a hotel and a bit of charm you only get in Thailand. The rooms were so cozy we nearly stayed in, but it was easy to get out and explore. Being near Korat’s largest shopping center, The Mall, is a big plus. A comfortable, convenient place without any pretension.
