Haus Hostel

My favorite hostel in Chai Mai, out of the three I visited. The staff are really friendly, and the place feels brand new and stylish. It's all clean, the wifi is really good, and the beds have curtains for privacy. They provide big lockers, free shampoo and soap in the showers, free towels and breakfast. The common area is quite small, but the hostel is small too, so it's fine. Love it! :)

The location made it easy to enjoy Chiang Mai, and the hostel itself was a great place to stay. My room was lovely and really clean, and the workers were so kind. On the day I arrived they put on a free BBQ and took us out partying. Highly recommend.

After the first night, my stay got a lot better because the staff moved me to another room the next morning when I reported what I’d found. But they didn’t seem surprised or say much, which left me worried about the beds and hygiene. In the mixed dorm, bags were scattered across the floor and blocked the locker, so I couldn’t put mine away. The room also felt uncomfortable from the start. Later that night I spotted a tiny bug under my blanket that looked like a bed bug and took a photo to show reception. I didn’t want to use the blanket after that, and reception closes after 10pm, so I couldn’t get help then. The staff are lovely, and the stay was okay apart from that big concern.

The other guests were fun to chat with, and the staff were kind, helpful and welcoming. Our room and bed were clean, and I really liked the hostel’s atmosphere and decor. They were very hospitable and accommodating. Loved staying here!
