Viangluang Resort

The pool sits in a garden, and the hotel has good amenities and service. It's clean, and Chiang Mai Gate night market is within walking distance and well worth a visit. A 14th century Buddhist temple is at the end of the road too. My room was spacious and the Wi-Fi strong. Breakfast was nice, with two kinds of fresh fruit. I personally prefer Thai food in the morning; they serve fried eggs and omelettes daily. I didn't try the Western dishes since I eat that kind of food at home. The hotel is in a good spot in the old city. A Grab from the airport cost 200 baht and took 20 minutes. Bring earplugs, since sounds can echo, though it was a minor issue.

We were setting off for an overnight jungle trek, so after checking out they kindly stored our bags and kept my injection in the fridge. The staff were top notch. This is a charming little hotel in the heart of the old town. The location is ideal for walking to most of the important places in Chiang Mai, and the rooms are spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and fantastic outdoor space.

Fantastic experience overall and good value for money. The resort is about 5km from the airport, and you can walk to Wat Chedi Luang, Sunday walking street and Thae Phae Gate. Check-in took

My wife and I found this a lovely, romantic place to stay. Although it's in Chiang Mai city, the grounds feel like a little oasis, full of trees and plants. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and the staff are wonderful. There's a small pool. Breakfast was mostly Thai food, including noodles, congee, fresh fruit and stir fried vegetables, along with toast, juice, ham, sausages and yogurt. Everything tasted delicious.
