R1 Nimman Hotel Chiangmai

The staff made my stay at R1 especially nice. They were professional, helpful and always smiling. I also really liked having free drinks, water and snacks available whenever I wanted. A thoughtful touch, and the breakfast was delicious too. Thanks for the great hospitality!

The location was perfectly fine, and the golf cart driver can save you 5/10 minutes of walking. Our rooms were really nice and clean, and the service was up to a high standard. Whenever we needed something, they responded very quickly.

Service was good, and the room was clean, though parts of it had a do-it-yourself feel. The bathroom door is just a slab of wood with a sliding bolt, without a proper handle, and the shower stall is VERY small. The building is tucked into an area of narrow streets, near the Nimanhammen district but not really close enough to walk there. They offer tourist-style golf carts for a ride out to the main Nimanhammen area, though you have to walk back. I didn’t find the complimentary breakfast appealing, but that’s subjective. For example, what was offered was chilled orange-colored water rather than chilled orange juice.

‼️‼️‼️ THIEVES AND LIARS. My friend’s luggage was searched by the cleaning staff, and $500 was taken. The administration refused to deal with it. They said they had asked the staff, who denied taking it, and left it at that. Be careful and stay away. Your belongings won’t be safe here. 🤬 UPDATE: The administration’s response IS A COMPLETE LIE. 1. They offered nothing. As soon as my friend realized the money was gone, she contacted the hotel. This was A DAY BEFORE CHECKOUT, and they knew that. She was the one who brought up the police, BUT THEY TOLD HER THEY WOULD FIGURE IT OUT. They assured her the police weren’t necessary. ‼️‼️‼️ 2. The next day, right before checkout and 4 hours before her flight, they said, “We talked to the staff and they said they hadn’t take anything.” Is that a joke? Their promise to “figure it out” was the first lie. Their comment here, spreading misinformation, was the second. That confirms that the hotel and its staff ARE GUILTY. THEY STOLE HER MONEY AND TRIED TO AVOID RESPONSIBILITY. PEOPLE, STAY SAFE AND DON’T LET THEM ENTER YOUR ROOM AT ALL COSTS. ‼️
