WangPla Villa Resort

We spent five nights here to see the area and enjoy the Chinese New Year celebrations. The place is older than the photos suggest, and the grounds could use some upkeep, but we were very comfortable in one of the villas. It was quieter than we expected, and the blackout curtains worked well, so we slept soundly. Our room was clean and a decent size. There's a hot water urn with tea and coffee at reception. There was no safe or coat hangers in the room, and the shower is the usual Asian wet-room style. The staff were very friendly, though nobody spoke English apart from, I assume, the owners. They were extremely helpful with advice about places to go and the Chinese celebrations. We'd stay again if we're in the area.

Good value for the price. Twin beds are available, and breakfast can be ordered at a reasonable price.

The room in the tower had two beds and plenty of space. It came with a 32-inch LG LED TV showing local channels, plus a mini fridge stocked with beer, soda, and snacks. Those items cost extra, but the prices were very low. The hotel restaurant is handy and has Thai dishes, sandwiches, steak, spaghetti, fries, and fried chicken. A shame they don't have burgers. There's also a good range of drinks. At under $20 a night, the value is fantastic for either a short or longer stay.

Coffee is free, and you can get something to eat there. The rooms are fine and have what you need, with plenty of parking. You can choose a garden bungalow or a cheaper room in the two-row 'tower' building. The tower rooms can be very inexpensive, so it's a good place to stop for a night.
