SP View Resort

We had a lovely stay in a small bungalow. The bed was comfortable, which was a nice change since beds in Thailand are often on the hard side. The room was large, with a bathroom, pool outside, and free water and coffee. There were cute pets wandering around, and scooters were available to rent at a fair price. Keep food and sweets indoors, though. Ants will find them, as they do almost everywhere in Thailand.

I’d happily stay here again. My room cost 750B a night, which felt very reasonable for what you get, and I’d recommend the place. The beach and some local food spots are close by. The bungalows are new, spacious enough, and nicely furnished, though a few more hangers would help. The air conditioning worked well, which matters because the rooms get warm during the day. One issue was the partly blocked shower drain, so water went down painfully slowly, though that’s not unusual in Thailand. They provide filtered water each day in a reusable bottle as part of their effort to be environmentally friendly. I decided to use my own water just in case. There’s a pleasant pool, and each of the roughly ten bungalows has a rooftop deck for sunsets, but no furniture up there. The owner also runs a mini mart on site, handy since the closest 7/11 is over 3km away. There’s plenty of parking in front of the bungalows, although none of it is covered.

The new bungalows are lovely and very peaceful. The owners are kind and helpful, and they also rent scooters.

The room was clean and nice, and the staff were very friendly. The location was great too. The bed was unfortunately much too firm for us, like sleeping on the floor, but otherwise all was good.
