Good value in Nara city center. 7e and Amazon cafe are right in front of the hotel, and it was easy to communicate with the staff since they speak Malay. I had an awesome stay and will come again.

The hotel is well managed and everything else was satisfactory. Water pressure is a bit low, and the soundproofing is worse than in a low-budget hotel.

The room was comfortable, and there was a rack on the balcony for drying clothes. The rest was okay, but I couldn’t check in at 10am on Friday even though Agoda says 9am check-in is possible if a room is available. The receptionist insisted I wait until after 2pm. Could the hotel really be full on a Thursday? It’s quite large, and the parking lot wasn’t full.

The beds were hard as a rock and super uncomfortable for a Westerner. The bathtub was stained and so dirty I wouldn’t dare sit in it, and the bathroom door was some sort of plastic sheet. The rooms are old, which might have been okay if the stuff was clean. Staff don’t speak English. I stayed one night and left as fast as I could move.

My office booked this hotel for me. It’s quite old, and the room looks old too. Breakfast is served to order, though the location is quite strategic.
