The only little drawback was having no private parking, although there was street parking right in front. Otherwise, the Mekong views are beautiful, the location is excellent, and both the friendly service and delicious food made this a wonderful riverside hotel. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Nong Khai.

Our bright, spacious room had a great view of the Mekong and Laos, and the night market was just a one-minute walk away, with vendors selling souvenirs, clothes, and plenty of food. Breakfast was generous and tasty, though the instant coffee was lousy, so I’d buy their house coffee instead. The staff were nice, but not especially hospitable, perhaps because they were busy running the coffee shop. We were on the second floor facing the market, and street noise carried on until midnight, even though we were told it closed at 10 PM. We also found a cockroach in the room and managed to kill it. We gave the place four stars, but the roach and noise mean we wouldn’t return.

The river views and relaxing atmosphere were terrific, with good music in the background. The barista is very talented, and the hot Americano was great coffee.
