Aliz Hotel

The staff were kind and accommodating. They even kept our bags after checkout since our bus south wasn’t leaving until the evening. We’d stay at Aliz Hotel again if we return to Bangkok. Our three nights there met our expectations. The room was spacious and very clean, though dust was missed in harder-to-reach places like on top of the closet and under the bed. It had a balcony overlooking a neighboring apartment, a roomy bathroom with a proper wall separating the shower, a workstation, and a full closet. The large bed had clean, comfortable sheets, pillows, and mattress. The location worked well for us. 7eleven is a two minute walk away, and M lifestyle mall, with lots of shops, restaurants, and things to do, is about ten minutes on foot. The tourist areas like Khao San Road and Chatuchak Market are farther away, but we were still happy to make the drive for the price.

I had to leave after just an hour because the air in the room felt hard to breathe. The air conditioner worked, but there didn’t seem to be any circulation. It was disappointing, and I understand I can’t get a refund.

I’ve stayed here twice. It’s good value, with just what you need for sleeping and showering, though it’s no luxury hotel. Breakfast was fine if you like Thai food in the morning, and the continental option was typical. The mall is about a ten minute walk away. On its sixth floor there’s a really good food centre with proper Thai food at Thai prices. I recommend it.

At Aliz Hotel, I’d rate staff friendliness and professionalism 4/5, and service efficiency, including check-in and housekeeping, 4/5. Cleanliness of the rooms and facilities gets 3/5. Amenities were not very accessible or convenient, 2/5.
